Notes
In his sophomore album, St. Johns is looking to make up for lost time. After waking up the fool for dodging his Muse for fear of failure, now he's going where he's led, and Flea-Market Hearts is the first destination. These nine songs range from the story of a desert rat that down-plays the importance of love lost by listening to NPR in an old truck at sunrise (It Don't Mean Nothing), to the social commentary and questioning of Foreign Wars and The Fight. In between, St. Johns Feels Like a River, personifies Hard Times, and sings of pillows taking sides in a lover's bed (Love's a Long Walk). If you believe a world off it's axis can still spin-off a balladeer now and then - then-is-now. Give an ear to Billy st. Johns and Flea-Market Hearts.
