A perfect example of music made by blues music lovers, steeped in energized riffs and refrains. Nothing "processed" or phony, Moreland & Arbuckle have created another album that rings true with every cut. In my opinion, this modern trio could have easily been a success in the late '60's/ early '70's, had they been alive then. Obviously schooled in roots blues and recorded in a blues-jam fashion, "FLOOD" spills out of your speakers and captures the listener immediately. This is my 2nd M&A album ("1861": also a superb release!)and I can't wait to get their next offering. Love the blues? Give these guys a listen for sure!! ps: I have never seen these artists, nor do I work for them in any capacity. I'm simply a 62year-old blues lover that knows when I've heard the truth... DH
This CD was given a great review in Rolling Stone magazine, so I bought one of the few copies on eBay. I love it! I don't see many copies around, but they should be up there with the best!
