Crack the Sky never achieved the kind of success they deserved. They combined clever lyrics with crisp, kinda' progressive musicianship. Most of their strongest work was on their earliest records, but they also had some overlooked classics, particularly this one, later in their catalog. "From the Greenhouse" is pretty strong from start to finish. A concept album of sorts, it has sort of a Pink Floyd meets Steely Dan vibe to it. Spacey moments and others that have a jazzy swing feel. It's getting kind of hard to find, so do yourself a favor and snap up a copy if you can. It will be an instant favorite!
I was missing this disc in my collection. now I have it!
