I remember when Gash came out and I loved it then. I lost that copy back in 2001, and was happy to pick a new copy. As older Foetus goes Gash is one of the best. definately full of rocking energy and has a flow to it, as we know sometimes JG can be a bit tough to follow. anyone who wants unusually hard music will love Foetus's Gash weather your a Foetus fan allready or looking for something new and full of energy here it is.....
This album comes later in Thirlwell's career, and basically, if you get into him, you're gonna like most anything he touches. I don't anything can match the immediacy and the 'newness' of Scraping Foetus, and when you consider the historical context, there would be no Ministry without Thirlwell, there would be no NIN without Thirlwell, White Zombie (and Rob's solo) would be more metal thunk than sample-infused. Thirlwell is a genius, twisted, yes, but that's the way I like 'em.
