I got this for a great deal, and wanted to check the surround mix out before investing in the hybrid SACD/DVD Audio combo, which I will eventually be doing, although the main thing I was looking forward to, the song "Squonk", wasn't what I had in my head for the surround mix, I wanted those keyboards swirling like crazy!! But of course it is still great. "Dance on a Volcano" was beyond my expectations, very very good mix. The dts tracks are 96/24, and I found it interesting that the Dolby Digital tracks are 48/24...though I don't know why you'd ever listen to those with the dts 96/24 option right there, which of course has a bit rate of 1.5 Mbps. I didn't check out the "Ripples..." video, but I'm sure it's identical to the one on "The Video Show" DVD; maybe a higher bit rate... This was Phil Collins first album as lead singer, and it's definitely still prog rock. I actually just right now checked out the interview before I submitted this, and it's really great; I was disappointed that they said nothing of the remastering process or the new surround mixes, I'll say no more; there are surprises! This is another excellent re-mastering job by Genesis and their producers. The re-mastered CD in 5.1 is FANTASTIC ! The main reason I bought this was for the DVD Video "Extras" and they don't disappoint ! In addition to the original music videos from this record, there is the RARE Concert Film "Genesis - In Concert" featuring several of the bands best Live Concert performances from 1976. (Fly on a Windshield, Entangled, Supper's Ready, The Cinema Show, etc.) This footage is worth the price of this CD/DVD alone!
