This was the first album by Japan I heard, way back in 1984. To this day, after hearing and owning all of their other music, this one is still my favorite. A few copies (vinyl & cassette) have drifted in and out of my life over the years, and I truly feel that my music collection is naked without one. I was delighted to find this increasingly harder to find vinyl recording been released in a very affordable re-mastered CD format, and I purchased it immediately. "Nightporter" is one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs ever recorded, and the quirkily upbeat "Swing" nods to the big-band jazz era. The fast-paced "Methods Of Dance" shows the band's ability to really 'get down'...in their own very inimitable style. This timeless album can alternately rock you out, or gently lull you to sleep...it still does me...even after 25 years.Read full review
