I have the original first pressing of the LP from 1969, the first CD, the SACD and now this MOFI CD. I thought the SACD sounded amazing as all SACDs usually do. This is a first generation MoFi CD and as with all their early CDs they sound better than an average CD but nothing like a SACD. THIS IS THE EXCEPTION. I was shocked that this is better than the SACD. It sounds just like my vinyl when I first played it as a virgin record prior to what it sounds like now. I was truly shocked. It is far clearer than the SACD, there are sounds I never heard on the SACD. Again, I was amazed. This has been long out of print and when I saw it was available I had to purchase it at any cost as this is my favorite of all Moody recordings. Well worth it!

I bought this album back in the 1970s,and it's always been one of my favorites. I've gone to CDs now. The Gold Discs are truly wonderful, especially the UDCD MFSLs. This one though is far from a dream, and has fell quiet short of getting past the threshold. The highs are very shrill at times, the orchestra is flat and lifeless, and the detail is just not there in so many places. I know it's not the fault of the master recording, my 1970s LP sounds marvelous. It must be the disc or the recording process on this, less than a dream, gold CD that's failed. I'm afraid the only gold here; is in the color of the disc.
great stuff

product might have been a little more worn than I anticipated but overall a great bargain and the cd itself had no skips and played great
