This CD is amazing! Prime Tim Buckley...this CD contains both the album "Tim Buckley" and "Goodbye and Hello" in their entirety. Both are fabulous but I lean toward Good & Hello as my all time Buckley favourite. Fabulous addition to any music collection, especially if you like late 60's & early 70s music. Tim had a 3 octave range & perfect pitch and his music was way ahead of its time. I had been looking for Goodbye & Hello for a long time and when I saw this CD with TWO entire albums on it, I had to have it. Best deal I've made in a month! Now if I can just control myself so I won't wear out the CD....
Tim Buckley was part of an elite pack of artists on the Elektra record label.This offering was well ahead of its time and was released about the same time as The Doors first offering,The Love,Tom Paxton and Judy Collins and many more; The style is distinctive and unusual.His later recordings rarely bettered Goodbye And Hello bar possibly Starsailor which is almost a collectors item these days. Anyone who enjoys folk/electric folk should find this well worth the money.I bought the LP in 1966 from my "underground" record store.Forty years on it still stands test of time.
Although this album is according to other reviews the most listenable of his, I find Tim Buckley, genius as he was, a stunning artist, and if you are not familiar with his music, which could not really be categorized, this is the one to buy first. stunning album, from a great artist!!
If you are a fan tim buckley this is an essential CD. his discoursing voice and uner laying harmony it epic towards both Buckleys. a great buy and would recomend to an avid music fan.
