Notes
'...this is undoubtebly the start of a successful carreer for Modest Midget. Modesty is not in place here. With such a product this band can proudly hop in the touring world'. (Frans Steensma, HOLLAND, Oor Magazine 2010). 'This Modest Midget might just grow to be very big'. (Edwin Ammerlaan, HOLLAND, Lust For Life / Revolver 2010). "only an unnaturally strong musical GIFTEDNESS can truly account for the delightfully playful, richly varied, yet somehow surprisingly accessible music of Modest Midget." (Mark Stephens, Prog Positivity. USA 2010). 'This year's award for best band name and album title goes to Modest Midget. This album is one of the most colorful that this genre has produced in a long time. If [Lionel] continues in the same style, I can almost guarantee that this man will get a contract with one of the better record companies out there. Recommended'! (Sven Eriksen, NORWAY, Tarkus Magazine 2010). "An absolutely fresh album, immediately unforgettable after first play, full of good taste, sophistication and great compositions, a synthesis of complexity with simplicity that make us wish for more music by Modest Midget. Highly recommended!" (Gustavo Bolasini, Argentina: El Retorno del Gigante 2010). 'The Great Prophecy... is likely to set Modest Midget up for a few more nominations and perhaps even an award or two. It's That good'! (Wildy Haskell, USA: Wildy's World 2010). "Modest Midget have created an excellent album and their unique approach to songwriting is like a breath of fresh air. With only one album under their belt, the future does indeed seem bright for the lads from Amsterdam. Highly recommended." (Jon Neudorf, USA, Sea of Tranquility 2010). '...in the hands of a skilled and strong band leader as Lonny Ziblat The Great Prophecy becomes a pleasant and exciting addition to our record collection this spring'. (Ulf Backstrøm, Norway, MerlinProg 2010). Started off as a virtual fantasy of Lonny (Lionel) Ziblat, several songs were recorded before anybody else was involved. With the aid of musicians such as Bas Wiegers, Ilse Eijsink, Vera van der Bie and Oene van Geel the music received a fantastic boost of good taste and quality. Different people helped out in the recordings. The final steady line-up with which the band embarked on it's first tour includes Richard Zoer, Tristan Hupe, Lonny Ziblat and Artis Orubs. Probably the most special fact about this album is the immense veriaty of colours and styles which all end up combining in an unexplicable way. The fantastic result is laid before you and the band is proud to set off having started with this remarkable salad of tastes. We've worked very hard making it and we are sure that once purchased you will not regret having this in your home. Enjoy!
