The jams SWEET LEAF & SUPERNAUT brought make memories of my teenage past. I am now 67 & I was born June 30, 1955. The other jams struck me fine. I do have heavy metal greatest hits by Black Sabbath. The notes inside the CD says if it wasn't for Black Sabbath heavy metal would not exist. This is true & the notes are fabulous.

What can I say that hasn't already been said about one of the FOUNDING forefathers of modern music. The only reason I didn't give this album a 5 out of 5 rating is because These are the best / most popular songs as far as the radio / record company is concerned. (Not the avid fan). Basically it's like this - if you Don't have any Black Sabbath in Your Collection. Your Collection is currently lacking important / relevant pieces of Foundation material !!!!! If you like Rock -n- Roll this disk would be a Great investment, & a Great introduction to one of the Greatest ROCK Band's EVER - Peiod !!!!!!
Ozzy and crew wrote the book in the early days of "heavy metal". I was stationed in Germany in 1974-5 when Black Sabbath was touring Europe so a bunch of us went. It is still ranked at the top of my list of the best concerts I've ever been to. You know you tend to forget after a few decades but not this band. Their music still sounds awesome today. I know a few in their 20's who just love it. Black Sabbath truly rocks the ages!
