I have been a fan of the Moody Blues since the inception of the band in the late 1960's. This concert is a good representation of some of their most popular hits and still features Ray Thomas, now retired. He does the famous "Legend of a Mind" song, which always was a concert favorite. I don't believe they perform it anymore since he left. The orchestration makes a nice additional backdrop for their instuments - it gives the songs more melodic body. The songs sung by John Lodge are rather weak, as his vocal style is limited. Justin Hayward is definitely the vocal backbone of this group. The song "Words you Say" could easily be deleted without a loss; again sung by Lodge. Overall, this is a good concert and ddefinitely shows why the Moody Blues still perform today nearly 50 years after their formation.Read full review
