I think this album remains the best one Vanessa has released as of September 2011. I had a digital copy, but I really wanted to own the album, wanted to take a closer work at the art design made for Harmonium, and in a small help show my support for her as an artist. The songs feel authentic and well written. She delves into much more personal territory than on "Be Not Nobody," but the music is kind of layered around the episodes she relates in the songs, and the two aspects compliment each other very well. Harmonium is about a million times more unique, meaningful, and interesting than just about 99% of the "pop" made between 2004 & 2010. Vanessa has worked with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, and this album made me believe she should be invited to be part of Fleetwood Mac; how cool would that be!! I can't recommend this highly enough!Read full review
Vanessa Carlton is the severely underrated artist who brought us "A Thousand Miles." That was a great song but "White Houses" is one of the greatest songs of the naughts (so far). The rest of this album is more confessional, beautiful, and piano-tinged songs that are really good songs that just never got the attention they deserve. Thanks Vanessa for making music that can make you dance or think or both. This album is far from perfect but the five stars goes out to her efforts -- Watch the documentary on the ECD and see what I mean.
Not as good as her prior albums but still good stuff

I love love love this album! Her creativity is amazing. Each song is a unique thought and the music follows that thought.
