Excellent music from an excellent band.

This is a fantastic album which highlights the musicianship of each member of the band. Wonderful vocals throughout. It reminded me, in parts, of the Moody Blues and also elements of Crosby, Stills and Nash. This band was completely overlooked in their day - such a shame.

BJH are my favourite band and have been since my mid-teens. I have this album on vinyl and it is thier first album after keyboard player Woolly Wolstenholme left the band. I didn't like the fact that Woolly had left and this album and is remarkably different to their previous album, XVII, and i found it difficult to accept a noticeably different sound, although BJH have been continually changing since their inception. There are, however, some good songs and some not quite so good on this album and for anyone who likes BJH, it's well worth listening to but anyone who is used to albums like Everyone is Everybody Else, Time Honoured Ghosts, Octoberon etc find it may take a while before it grows on you. My raeson for buying the CD was to add it to my BJH collection, the aim being to have their whole discography on CD. Geeky? maybe, but once a fan, always a fan.Read full review
