Highly recommended remaster of a sadly underrated (or unknown in the US) band. Sound is good for cd, have not yet compared it to vinyl. The Strawbs started as a folk band that evolved with many personnel and style changes. Note early work with Rick Wakeman before his YES days. Hero and Herione features some of their best electric recordings. Lyrics can be poetic with a definite flair for the dramatic. I saw this band in 1974 while touring this album. Along with Bursting at the Seams, I consider Hero and Heroine their best work, at least my favorite. Cool progressive/folk/rock band that is still recording and playing tour dates!
