A return to the early straightforward sound of their first three albums. This album is very much reminiscent of late 70s, early 80s classic fist pumping hard rock. It also has a very bluesy vibe. Stand out tracks: "Pocket", "One Step Ahead of the Devil" and "Here Comes That Feeling". Original members Eric Bloom, Buck Dharma and Allen Lanier keep it familiar where the new bass player and drummer give it a more youthful, harder edge. Production is excellent. If you're dying for some fresh Blue Oyster Cult tracks because you've been playing "Tyranny and Mutation", "Agents of Fortune" and "Fire of Unknown Origin" to death, this is the cure to what ails you. Has been in constant rotation on my car stereo since first purchasing it months ago. -- Slayerdeath

How do these guys keep doing it. Decade after decade. BOC is a very underrated band . All the damn radio plays is The reaper and Burnin 4 U. Check out this CD as well as Cultasaurus Erectus, Mirrors, Spectres, Club Ninja. I took a chance buying this as I never hear even 1 track but had a feeling it could be another nugget. I was right.
I have been a fan of Blue Öyster Cult for a long time, until recently I've not been able to enjoy them like I've wanted too. I recently purchased their Capital albums collection as well as this and one other cd. Now I can rock out with the greatest rock band ever!

A criminally underrated album! A shame it’s become somewhat of a rarity, with the perfect mix of catchy hooks and evocative songwriting that has come to be expected from BÖC. In this, their final studio offering, they’re as tight of a band as they were for Mirrors or Cultosaurus. A must have for any classic rock library.
