Since I am a huge fan of the supergroup Boston, Orion the Hunter is a great album and has the Boston sound and musical style, since a couple of Boston members founded and played in Orion the Hunter before resuming their musical careers with Boston. Great album that has been horribly overlooked. Fran Cosmo's vocals & Barry Goudreau's guitar are top-notch.

I still love this music from 1984. It made you feel as though you had really lived, though life had only just begun. Orion the Hunter was, in my opinion, a very talented band. If you liked Boston, you liked these former band members in their new venture. This album only had one big hit, but listen to it again. You will see the potential of this band more clearly, since many of us are now unblinded by our youth.
With a voice like Brad Delp, it would be hard not to find this fantastic. Barry Goudreau, Boston's second lead guitar, shows the real depth of his talent. Fran Cosmo lends his vocal touches and adds to this fine effort also. If you are a Boston fan, you should find this a good listen. With Brad Delp now gone from this world, this is a must have.
I first purchased the LP of this when it came out in the early 80's adn made a casette out of it. And promptly wore it out and subsequent others driving on the interstate. A good mix of rock and roll, two great ballads, and a hint of Brad Delp in the background back in the day when Boston was not a formal band anymore for us certified Boston junkies.
Anyone who misses the Boston sound needs to pick this up. I was talking to a co-worker about old bands, and he mentioned this group with Goudreau and Delp doing a cd together. I ordered it right away. I was NOT disappointed at all.
