I originally bought this album during my college days (10+ years ago) and somewhere along the way it disappeared. I really enjoyed the album back then, and then I recently decided to get another copy. I'm SO GLAD I did--the album is even better than I remembered. If you're not familiar with King Crimson, they're a rock band that formed in the 60s. They aren't really easy to classify--kind of progressive rock with a heavy jazz vibe--but I would say it fits in the transcendental or psychedelic rock category. It's all about trippy guitar riffs mixed with some keyboards and woodwind instruments and sparse, poetic lyrics. This has good to be one of the best debut albums of all time.
King Crimson never made a bad album. Period. That being said this is one of the best of those quality albums. You absolutely cannot go wrong!
