LIVE ON TEN LEGS is a terrific live Cd for the casual Pearl Jam fan. Diehard fans like myself already have at least a handful of the band's official bootlegs in their collections, so this latest mainstream release is just icing on the cake! The 18 track Cd features such classic PJ tunes as "Animal", "State of Love and Trust", "Jeremy", "Alive", "Porch" and the classic closer "Yellow Ledbetter". Taken from various stops on their 2009/10 World Tour, rather than one single show, there's not a lot of interplay between the band and the audience, but the performances are that much stronger for it I think. More PJ, less audience off key sing along LOL! There are a couple of less than stellar moments, most notably a meandering version of "Rearviewmirror" and an out of left field cover of PIL's "Public Image" which doesn't fit well in the set list in my opinion, but overall the effort is strong throughout, typical of a live PJ experience. And if you're a recent fan you'll especially enjoy the newer material on here including "The Fixer", "Just Breathe" & "Unthought Known", which all came from the band's last studio release. I must admit I'm such a huge PJ fan to give them less than 5 out of 5 stars would be unthinkable. That being said I still believe my 5 out of 5 rating is fair because LIVE ON TEN LEGS is a solid live release. ROCK ON, saintly-sinnerRead full review
