Early in his career John A. was a bit of a nomad, showing up on everyone else's recordings with the likes of Weather Report. As he evolved he took control and formed beautifully considered pairings with many musical luminaries and produced evocative music with musicians from every stylistic dimension. This one was particularly successful. At a considerably reasonable cost this gem is a must for anyone who loves Michael Hedges, Bert Jansch, Adrian Legg, Bill Evans and even Django Rheinhardt. Tasteful as always and crystalline in approach. Come taste the beauty.

His first album I used to have on vinyl. Got stolen and have wanted a digital copy to replace it. Played it at Thanksgiving and my son was really impressed.

I didn't purchase NO Back Street Boys jive ass candy. I purchased the fantastic John Abercrombie CD known as "Timeless" with Jan Hammer-keyboards,Jack Dejohnette-drums,and J. Abercrombie-guitar. Fantastic-mid seventies Improvised modern Jazz. This CD is incredible. Essential listening for any one interested in pristine depths of expression. A landmark recording. My only complaint??? I would have liked more songs included from this spectacular session!!! Five stars*****
Excellent
