This would have been a huge hit released as a single in the USA. It's a little stronger than "Rainy Jane" which was released, and the exposure on "The Brady Bunch" would have been a good push. Kids would have bought the single in droves. Now, 40-some years later, you can have it on a reprint of the Bell label (super-awesome). "Rainy Jane" is in stereo, but I believe "Girl" is in mono. A little on the flat side, but not bad. I don't think some of the people mastering records these days understand what needs to be done to meet the RIAA curve, so many new issues come heavy on the bass side. Still sounds great. I bought two, one to put aside, and one for my jukebox. It's great to know people care and make an effort to make such things available. A+
