This version on VHS is still a very special treat to watch... as it's currently the only version that runs exactly like the original film. The DVD versions play the 'Pass it On' jam at the end when the credits roll... which is fine, however, the original release back in 1971 ends with the audience applause slowly fading out. This may not be relevant to 'Janey' or even some of the fans, but it's relevant to me, as I went to the midnight showings of this movie back in the late '70's, and in short, it reminds me of when I first saw it. This video (tape) plays beautifully and more importantly "never goes out of sync"... unlike (all) the DVD versions of this film. In addition to the visual quality, which still rivals DVD and even Bluray, the audio is what really makes this a 'must have' for the true Hendrix fan, as it's mixed by Alan Douglas (r.i.p.) In short, it's an absolute must have.Read full review
