Triumph,while lesser known than it's Canadian brothers Rush,was a tremendous power trio nonetheless.Three of the most talented men in their chosen fields I have seen.Rik Emmett was teaching guitar in an east coast university last I heard.And we're talking big league school,too.Yale or Harvard I think.Not just anyone can say that. While they had moderate success with Hold On,it's the rest of this album that rocks.American Girls and Lay It On The Line are two of my favorite rock songs.Rik Emmett and Gil Moore always shared vocal duties and both managed to define the sound of the band while singing their respective leads.Strong positive lyrical messages and great melodies made their songs just a little better than the rest.And if you ever saw them live you know they put on a show unequalled in intensity and blinding light show.Check it out!Read full review
