Nigel Kennedy's performance of Elgar's Violin Concerto (1984) has a fully justified reputation and the EMI remastering (2006) adds extra dimension to the sound. Although I had the CD of this recording released around 2000, I searched hard to find this one for the better sound and with the added value of Introduction and Allegro again played by the same orchestra and conducted by Vernon Handley. Very satisfied with this purchase which was described as 'Very Good' but was 'As New' apart from a cracked case easily replaced! Many thanks Halcyon Books.
