This is probably the best Kansas album for many of their fans. It's clearly more accessible than their three previous albums but still has its progressive rock roots. Carry On Wayward Son, What's On My Mind, Opus Insert, and Questions of My Childhood are accessible songs, almost standard commercial rock. The Wall is soft & classic rock. Miracles & Cheyenne Anthem are long songs but still somewhat accessible. While Magnum Opus is long instrumental progressive rock. If you are new to Kansas and want to hear progressive rock with violin songs but not too complex, this is the Kansas album to start, follow with Point of Know Return, then Monolith.
A brand new CD bought at a used CD price. It brought back memories of High School. I recently went to a Kansas concert and I just had to have this CD. It showed me that the current band is still spot on.
