This single CD has Howard Skempton's "Lento" - a beautiful piece of music. Probably best classified as post-minimalist, it features a repeated tune initially played by a string orchestra and gradually built on with the addition of woodwinds, somewhat reminiscent of Ravel's "Bolero" (but without any percussion). Difficult to describe with any justice, it is simply remarkably uplifting.
