Weather Report only released 2 live albums when they were active, "8:30" and the import "Live In Tokyo", so any live material we can get our hands on is essential. This material spans 1975 to 1983, probably their finest and most influential era. The performances are exceptional, the arrangements are stellar. The players are killin' it. The recording quality varies as expected, but the main problem people have with this release is that the tracks run together, but they are not sequenced chronologically. So for instance, between the 1st & 2nd track you jump 8 years through time. Regardless, everything flows well. The musicianship is of such fine quality that the time traveling doesn't bother me. There is a great essay with quotes from Joe and Wayne in the booklet. Complete player credits for each track as well. Highly recommended.Read full review
One of Weather Report's best albums. Sound quality is excellent, especially for a live album. Musicianship cannot be beat.
