As a long-time Miles aficionado (since the mid-60's), I found this live release, at the end of Miles' life, burned with the same fire displayed in "Live-Evil" or "Live at the Cellar Door 1970". Miles has always had the knack of finding exceptional talent that can play their ass off and also motivate him to a higher level of musicianship. This release is no exception. With a number of different bands and band members this live release clearly shows Miles and his backing bands at the top of their game. Even if you don't know much about Miles and his music this is a good place to start. This release includes recent music and older Miles tunes and Miles isn't afraid to hang back and let the band show their stuff. He always knows what to play and when. I highly recommend this release as well as the box set "Live at Montreux". Enjoy!Read full review
Miles being awesome. Clean crisp recording, MAYBE on the bright side, I'd say it's personal taste and your stereo. Excellent backup musicians. Great song mix. Pour a drink, set your volume, draw the shades press play and do what he says on the cover. Enjoy one of the premier musicians of his time.
