This beautifully remastered album features a fledgling superstar. John Martyn was just starting on his road to becoming one of Britain's best loved and most respected musicians. For such a young man, the strength of his song writing is fantastic, with an equally clear and detailed production. Add to that the bargain price, and we have an absolutely essential purchase. I don't know how Music Magpie offer such brilliant CDs so cheaply, (and post free too!) but I'm so glad they do.

Great first album from John Martyn quite folky but in a good way. You can begin to see his style emerging. I would recommend this album to people who are into John Martyn but have'nt heard much of his earlier work. I decided to buy it as it was one of the albums of his that i was missing from my collection. Over all a good buy if you are looking for something that is not quite as manic as his later stuff, In my opinion this album is not as good as say solid air but you can see where solid air came from. This album shows that even at such young age John Martyn was a musical genius. RIP
I bought this cd after reading the book 'Some People Are Crazy ', the John Martyn Story . I wanted to see how different he was from when he started to his material of later times. How immpressed was I when after many listenings I still have to remind myself that he was only around 18 years of age when this was originally made . An absolute MASTERPIECE ! ! !
Just discovered John Martyn, As the first cd I've owned of his I think each song helped me get to know him better, each song tells a story. Brilliant cd, this man was obviously an untapped genius.
Just getting into John Martyn...like everything ive heard so far..so thought i'd start at the beginning...Great C.d
