Being a huge fan of Peter Gabriel, I decided to take a chance on this CD, which is a movie soundtrack. I had to listen to it a couple of times before I truly started hearing & feeling the intricate layers of sound in the music. Very haunting, unusual, emotional ~ not your typical dance music! If you're looking for background ambience to enhance your creativity, this CD is definitely worth checking out!
This is one of those works that correspond to the complex emotional nature of the movie. If you never saw Rabbit Proof Fence then you should, at least three times. This soundtrack evokes the same complex emotions and you miss nuances on the first hearing that become apparent on subsequent listenings. Absolutely worth it, especially as corresponding to the movie.
I'm a huge Gabriel fan and have been since he went solo from Genesis. This is a beautiful collection from Peter.
