this is material that Frank Zappa either played on, wrote or conducted during his entire musical life in the late 50s all the way to the time of his death in 1993, and as such is wildly variable in quality and ultimately, in listening interest. On the low side of the spectrum are not one, but two sequences of recorded conversation in which early band associates of Frank describe in detail how they would pick their nose and wipe it on their rehearsal room window-believe me, this is not as amusing as it sounds. On the positive side, there are fascinating outtakes of gems like Inca Roads and Take your clothes off when you dance also I dont wanna get drafted and As with most things Zappa, for rabid fans who probably know what they are getting into- electdrums
The missing tapes, of songs that were too commercial for Frank! Thirty tracks. I was recording engineer on Track 29.

I am in the process of collecting all of Franks works. I did not know much about this release, abd found it to be awesome. Some of the songs are first recordings of ones found on later albums. The version of Sharleena is by far the best I have ever heard. If you are a Captain Beefheart fan there are several pieces with he and Frank working together.
