These albums, This band, Changed forever my appreciation of music. Styx fell into my life in the early 70's. Pop radio was going threw a Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin era. I care for neither of these bands and to this day own none of their albums. The airwaves were filled with "The night Chicago died" "Kung Fu fighting" Minnie Ripperton(?),Disco music, The Captain & Tonielle(?) OH PLEASE! Then along came STYX. They had just added Tommy Shaw. And I fell in love with the sound of the dual guitars of J.Y. & Tommy Shaw. They had an awesome Drummer in John Pinazo, A great vocalist in Dennis Deyoung, And a style that was to be mine. Tommy Shaw & Jimmy Young could harmonize, John Pinazo kept the beat, And those dual guitars waited their chance to SMOKE. I never appreciated a keyboard in Rock music til I played the title Cut "Man of miracles" a zillion times. Or in the tune "Mr. Christopher." This was Styx in their infancy. The music matched the times..The 70's. And this band was about to break out. It's unique, Toe tapping music, that I think will motivate you to enjoy "Having a Ball" Jim W.Read full review
I enjoyed it very much, Had trouble trying to fine Man of Miracles...I still have the 33 record, but no record player to play it on! Listened to it 10,000 times in high school. Yours is in excellent shape, only one or 2 songs skipped a little, but is great. Thank you very much! June Weaver
