Hmmm, well having been a Metalminded practitioner for over 30 years, even delving into the Deathrealms, w/some Grindcore, Black Metal, & experimental even when the Heavy pop rock Grunge and subsequent genres proliferated. Mob Rules, upon reflection certainly maintains position as perhaps the Great Metal Album! My pick for pole position. Definitely enjoy the OZ years of Sab. And even see meaning and richness with Fenholdt, Gillan, Gillen, Hughes, Martin whom were singing for the band through various eras. Yet, Certain Magic unfolds in blissful audic-entreatment with Mob Rules, for me. Heaven & Hell, very closely. Tonally M. Rules resonates. I have a revolving metal favorite of the day, concerning vast plumage of groups. Ex. Maiden, Priest, AC/DC, early Metallica, early Slayer, Death (Schuldiner), and so forth. But, what I've found is relatively frequent playing of Mob Rules, not overly, has resounded with beautific Metaphor... The Mob Rules deluxe edition comes with two discs. Disc one includes the base album and one bonus track. Disc two includes the entire live at Hammersmith Odeon limited edition record. The live performance was originally released as a very limited and exclusive record pressing. The only way to obtain it on CD is through this deluxe edition. Ronnie James Dio is great on this album.

I like Ronnie James Dio in Black Sabbath, and it was the only time I saw them. The guy could hold his own right up there with Ozzy IMO. This is the second album with him in the band (after Heaven And Hell) and, while it isn't quite up to the level of HAH, the inclusion of a live disc in the package makes this a great buy.
