I've been a MB fan since Go Now. This 2CD set has 34 of my favourites, sound quality is excellent played through speakers or earpiece. Very glad I bought it - I have several other MB CDs but if I had to choose just one jewel case of MB music, it would be this one.

Ok I am over 50 and just about remember them first time around and even had some of this great music on that strange stuff called vinyl long long ago. This latest collection has been played again and again on that old trusty car stereo cd player and is well recommended if you are young or old...yeah, yeah yeah the Beatles were great during that era but the Moody Blues are gone but too marvelous to be forgotten too as it still sounds fresh. Even my 13 year old had to admit she liked their sound...praise indeed!
I noticed that at work when left alone I often would go to Youtube & find these guys to listen to. When I retired I went out & bought some of their music to put in my car's CD player. I like their sound with the orchestra behind them. Their word usage is sometimes like poetry.

Great songs from a great band, simples as! Great value, they can't fit all the deep cuts, but a great extensive collection.

This two CD Set is a great overview of the Moody Blues career from the late Sixties through to the 90's. It includes the obvious tracks "Nights in White Satin","Question","Isn't Life strange","Ride my see saw","Just a Singer in a Rock n Roll Band",and starts with their first hit featuring Denny Laine on vocals "Go Now". As much as I like the "Moodies" I do find that their albums have a lot of filler, and therefore a compilation such as this is probably the best place to start. To these ears another problem is although Justin Haywood has a great voice when the vocal duties are given to Graham Edge,or Ray Thomas it can sometimes be hard listening. So this is definately the place to start and if you do like this then you "may" wish to explore the individual albums of which my personal favourite is "To my Children's Children".Read full review
