A great time capsule. Actually many of the tunes hold up to the years quite well. The Alan Vega "Suicide" tunes still sound contemporary/modern. I bought this for the rare "Bloodless Pharaos" tunes. Wow. First time I heard them and wasn't disapointed. Interesting and unique. The keyboards almost reminded me of the Stranglers. Creepy/strange pop. I believe that's the late artist Jean Michele Basquiat's grafitti on the cover. The disc documents some of the rarer aspects of a truly great and pivotal time for New York City.
really hard to find on lp during a long time, it's great to buy on cd that marty thau'fantastic compilation!
