The remaster of the CD sounds great. Also included is a DVD that contains footage of the making of "Born to Run" and a live concert filmed in LA in 1973. The best is the DVD of the Hammersmith Odeon concert from London in 1975. The band was brilliant. Also included is a book of photos from the time of the album. I'd highly recommend this box set.

While Born to Run was not my favorite release by the Boss, this box set is superb. The album is still one great recording but the accompanying documentary disc is an excellent companion. The icing on this marvelous cake is the live footage from Hammersmith Odeon in London. Seeing Springsteen in 1975 is a pure treat with the fashion contrast between his onstage appearance and the E Street Band purely hilarious. As well as giving a great live presentation of the B2R material, these early versions of songs from his previous albums knocked me out. Sure wish there was more archival footage of this dynamic performer and his band.
A must for every Bruce fan. This box set is a full complete journey of Bruce and the E Street band's big break through album, "Born To Run". Comes complete with a picture book, a remastered crystal clear sounding Born To Run CD, the infamous 1975 concert at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, and the awesome documentary "Wings For Wheels" taking a journey through time of making the record. Awesome box set! "On the backstreets until the end!!!"

30th anniversary CD great, DVD is alright. I prefer newer better resolution and Dolby concert recordings. Very good overall. Great value.

The major plus is the complete Hammersmith Odeon DVD (well-mastered 16mm film and exceptional multi-track sound quality). The re-mastered album is no improvement over the Legacy Gold remastering a few yars back. In fact, that edition may actually be more satisfying. The second DVD is an interesting look at the lengthy recording process and experimentation which produced this timeless classic and catapulted Springsteen to stardom. The original album art is scaled down for CD, making the lyrics all but impossible to read. Also, it would have been helpful if the DVD had subtitles (as the PBS airing had Closed Captions). Apart from the above quibbles, well-worth owning.
