If melodic metal is your forte, then look no further than Moonspell's latest effort entitled Night Eternal! Everything I like about metal I found in this album; it's heavy, it's got great guitar work and vocals, and backing vocals and keyboards set a very dark mood that has been these guy's trademark since 1989! They hail from Lisbon, Portugal and their style is strikingly similar to the Queen of the Damned sound track and the lead singer, Fernando Ribeiro, sounds a bit like the dude from 69 Eyes, Jyrki 69. These guys are going to be on the Blackest of the Black tour with Danzig and Dimmu Borgir this fall so check them out if they come through near you! From begining to end, Night Eternal is without a doubt one of the best metal albums out there right now. With all the buzz over Metallica's latest commercialized corporate album, a lot of great bands don't get the regognition they deserve so step out of the box and give Moonspell: Night Eternal a listen. You won't be dissapointed!Read full review
