When I was about 15 years old(I`m 65 now)I bought the LP on Savoy records from this famous session. It happened to be one of the first LP`s I had and was the base of my Charlie Parker collection, which is as far as I know one of the hugest in Sweden.Bird became a lifelong passion(more tha an interest).Th LP is worn out and was happy when I saw that the whole session was availible on CD.The breath-taking Koko,Billie`s Bounce and Now´s the Time o.a.The first critic that wrote about this record gave it the worst possible rating.(I think his name was Richard Mehegan). He called Miles Davis:"that poor lost child...". To me this record brings up a lot of memories besides that I think it is one of the best in the history of jazz on record.//Torsten Johansson,Sweden
