I’m both a Rush fan & audiophile. Never heard any CD make much of an improvement over the original vinyl version. Even the 40th Anniversary studio remaster was dismal. This SHM version is like hearing it for the 1st time! No brightness whatsoever, you’ll hear many artifacts; sustain, decay, ambience, depth. Perfectly proportioned volume, dynamics & clarity. I never thought they could make Rush sound SO good. A pricey product, but so worth it, for those who demand the finest. I’ll now need to replace my library with SHN discs, & I’m retired & on a budget. The better your equipment, the better sound you’ll hear. So yes upgrade, SHM is worth it, but not required.
