they do not attempt to be absolutely true to sixteenth century polyphony. but that's the attractiveness of their recordings. the liner notes are extensive and well-researched but the presentation is contemporary. they are all very good vocalists and don't attempt to disguise it to appear "historical". I have most of their releases and listen to them all on regular rotation. Anonymous 4 is my most-listened to group and I wish I could see them live.
