Covers generally hold little attraction for me and this CD has a fistful of them: "Boppin' the Blues," "Lucille," "Glad All Over," "Money (That's What I Want)," "Blue Suede Shoes," "You Can't Judge a Book by Its Cover," "Dedicated to the One I Love" and "Turn on Your Lovelight." Aside from the covers, which aren't bad, the remainder of the CD has some fine songs: "My Way of Thinking" (with a stolen Kinks' intro), "Truth From My Eyes," "You Are the One," "Peek-A-Boo," "Grow Up Little Girl," "True and Sweet," "Hope We Meet Next Summer," "Mountain High" (the recording itself seems a little off to me) and so on. If covers don't trouble you or if you find them somehow intriguing, consider adding Randy & The Radiants to your 60s collection. BTW, there are two versions of both "Nobody Walks Out on Me" and "I Won't Ask Why." Text and interesting fourteen-page booklet.Read full review
