'Quadrophenia' has aged incredibly well, and packs a hell of a punch -- it's the Who's most impressive album. The remastering is wonderful, Pete Townshend supplies thoughtful new liner notes (as well as the liner notes and photobook that accompanied the original 1973 album, which have been reproduced here), and the packaging is sturdy. I do have one gripe: it mystifies me as to why "Bell Boy" was included on Disc 2 rather than Disc 1. Putting it on Disc 1 would not only have allowed room for another demo on Disc 2, it would also -- more importantly -- mean that Sides 1-3 of the double album are on Disc 1, which would reflect the original and make narrative sense. It's baffling than Townshend signed off on it this way. Otherwise, no complaints -- 'Quadrophenia' remains a staggering achievement. The two instrumentals are especially impressive.Read full review

Arguably The Who's best album, leaving aside "Who's Next". This remaster is superb, with an excellent booklet. Great value for money.
