At first listen the album didn't grab me like I wanted but after listening to it after some time, it's definitely grown on me. This album surprised me with how great it sounds, as well as how many great songs are on it. Although there are only 9 songs I love a good 7 out of 9 songs on the album. Definitely up there as one of my favorite QotSA albums.

There is no better band of rock musicians in the world today. With Josh Homme at the helm as their main songwriter/lyricist and frontman vocalist / guitarist, Queens Of The Stone Age continue to explore the vast expanse of their sonic signature sound. While still mainly guitar oriented their are 1 or 2 piano songs that hold together better than the vague stylings of "...Like Clockwork". And the guitars still buzz through like happy chainsaws but there's even a pop-dance shine to some, like "The Way You Used To Do". A much more coherent soundscape than "...Like Clockwork" for sure, and a more mature, together set of songs.
