...if it isn't as complex or dynamic as later albums. The interludes are no less hilarious, but the production certainly gives the listener a more 'chambered' than full house experience. Melora's topics and lyrics are as brilliant as any that would follow, but equally worth the experience of an encompasing comparison of all she has brought us in the decade since. Though this might not be the best place to start, Rasputina, on any and all albums, will strike you as a secret shameful only for its over-close keeping.
This is one of Rasputina's very best albums. Ethereal, eerie, gothic, girlie, creepy, spooky--2 cellos and a drummer. Very unique artists. I have seen them live twice and they are perfect for those with a dark sense of humor and an adoration for the darker aesthetics in life.
Great album! This was their first album for 1996 which includes great songs such as Sister Sleep, Dig Ophelia, and Transylvanian Concubine. Great Band! I love Rasputina. I highly recommend all of their albums.
