I just about wore out my first CD of David Byrne's Rei Momo...this particular CD though has some 'glitches' on it so that I've just been able to listen to tracks one and two...I only listen to music in the car and so I haven't been able to clean this CD yet...I'm hoping I don't have to return it...It is an excellent collection of rhythms though, and like all of David's music, the words are great...I highly recommend it...

I discovered this when it first came out. It was my first introduction to David Byrne's solo work and it took a while to grow on me. The music is all Samba, Salsa, Cumbia, Rumba, Bomba, etc. etc. I had expected it to sound like the talking heads. Anyway, as I started buying up more of his CDs all of his various styles grew on me and I became addicted. This CD makes perfect sense now. 5 Huge Stars.
