Vomitory- Revelation Nausea. Album number 3 from these Swedes and the first to feature bassist Erik Rundqvist on vocals. Whether the change in vocalist is an improvement for the band i'm not convinced. I prefer Jussi Linna, but the line-up is still the same just one less member. Vomitory's aim again here is to produce no nonsense death metal, which you can hear straight away. This is of course a good thing if your in a death metal mood as you will no doubt get your fix remedied. It can be a problem if you like a bit of variety in your albums as all the songs seem to blend together sounding so similar. The first change comes half way through as backing vocals are introduced on 'The Art Of War', and more change continues into 'When Silence Conquers' being the most varied track on the album. Something that works for a lot of bands in death metal is recognizing their own sound and continuing to stick to what works for them. It's pretty safe to say that the sound Vomitory have is certainly nothing unique, but it is nothing other than death metal through and through.Read full review
I loved this cd. It's not as good as Blood Rapture(in my opinion) but it is still great. The drums are still as hard as ever, the vocals are more gutteral and the guitars are faster and more upbeat. Great cd. A must have for metal heads.
This is good old fashioned death metal. Not to flashy. Very noisy. Just to the point Death Metal. Very heavy...nothing pretty here. If your into extreme metal this band fits the bill.
