This is an AMAZING recording. I've been a tremendous fan of Robinson since Amorica and saw him once with the Black Crowes. To my ear. Robinson channels the spirit of Jerry Garcia and the boys for this album - the vibe and tone of the arrangement and musicianship really brought back memories of seeing the Dead live. Having said that, no one sounds like Robinson! His unique southern rock vocals are unmistakable. Everything about this album works. I love every track of this wonderful record.

Chris Robinson has branched out since the days of The Black Crowes. This album really incorporates the "jam band" feel instead of the more introspective yearning and rocking swagger of his two solo albums. Chris is the leader of a band and the music is allowed to spread it's wings into a new cosmic realm. Upon second listen, I felt like the Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers had been reborn into the Chris Robinson Brotherhood. Pleasantly retrospective in style yet fresh in delivery.
Good music
