Notes
The Wilson Sisters was organized by their father, the late James Wilson Jr. The group was known as the James Wilson Singers, consisting of five sisters and their mother, Mrs. Nancy R. Wilson. From an early age, the sound of male quartets captured their attention, groups such as the famous Sensational Nightingales. These sounds inspired the sisters to focus on this unique style of singing. The sisters was raised in a large family of five girls and seven boys. One of which is the former center fielder for the New York mets, William( Mookie) Wilson. After the death of their father the group became discouraged and stopped performing. In 2003, Mr. Paul Winbush reorganized the group. He brought with him hard work, devotion and leadership. The name was then changed to Paul and the Wilson Sisters.
