First heard rubycon back in 1975 on the old black plastic hadn,t heard it for years found the cd on ebay , took a while to come , but after nearly 40 years not hearing it a little while longer was no biggy . I have always been a fan of electronic music and I bought this album when it first came out on vinyl. I used to play it a lot, so much so, that I wore it out. Now I have rplaced it with the cd version as well as storing it on computer. Its a classic mood album. It still sounds great after all these years.
a mesmerising and hypnotic sound, from i think the best german synthesiser band.Don,t expect any vocals as its pure electronica that can transport the listener if you let it.Tangerine dream have been recording since the early seventies,rubycon is one of their earlier offerings and is more interesting than the later stuff in my opinion which doesnt hold the attention in quite the same way.I have listened to most of their albums and still think they sound magical even after 25 years.
Rubycon - a classic album in it's own right, it brings back fond memories of my teenage years so long ago.
