I've been a kiss fan since 1977 when I was 8 years old. I bought this CD to update my "tape collection" to CD's. This is one of Kiss's better formulations. If you like this one, you'll like "Crazy Nights" by Kiss too. Asylum also is very good, but has a whole different sound signature to it. Same with "Psycho Circus". I recommend this CD highly. -Engine 77
This album Kiss was finally beginning to rebound from having Gene off on his movie career. This would be the last album Eric Carr would drum on and would pass away in 1991 due to cancer. However we finally got to see what Eric Carr was capable of vocally when he sang Little Caesar. This album has the most new songs on it (more than any other Kiss Cd to date). However this CD isn't remastered so the sound quality isn't the best. The best songs on the CD are Rise to It, Hide Your Heart, Love's A Slap in the Face, Forever, Silver Spoon, Cadillac Dreams, King of Hearts, You Love Me You Hate Me, Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell, and Little Caesar.
Good songs throughout. Kiss were leaning more to their commercial side on this release but still came on strong with ballads such as Forever. My wife summed it up by saying it was way better than listening to Pour some sugar... by another accomplished hair band. Still the music on this one without a doubt was from that era. Fizzy JCM900's with full stack cabinets, spandex, and lots of hair spray were all the rage. If you remember back when MTV was worth watching then you will know why this album is as well.
