This is a forgotten band ! Ask any kid today who is your favorite band & no kid is going to say Kansas & Boston is Fading too! That is too bad before you know it Yes will be gone & ten years from now Rush will disappear! The reason I stated these bands is if you like the bands I mentioned the you appreciate the work of a true musician ! That is hard to find these days for the art is more like ("Glam" Marilyn Manson" like to make money for the kids) & NOT A TRUE ART FOR MUSICIANS any more! But like Jazz history shows this must happen so if you can find this Kansas product don't hesitate to purchase it for it is very hard to find! The music cd collection is superb & the track list speaks for itself! The dvd is one of a kind ! You can't find it anywhere so you must get it filled with interviews! rare concert footage of Kansas in their early prime! That is the difference ! There are dvd's out there but this one displays Kansas at their best ! THe others are reunion & at different line-up team on stage while this shows the original group together playing like they didn't have a care in the world! Which in the 70's was special! We will never ever see that again b/c just turn on M-TV & SEE IT IS ALL ABOUT MONEY! But this dvd shows a band from Kansas THAT at one point in time in America people got on stage & played music for people on television for the love of music! To capture that moment & to see a special band you might want to hunt this dvd/2cd set down & you will not be disappointed!Read full review
A very nice collection with pictures and a DVD, with stories from band members. If you are a Kansas fan you will really enjoy it. Some of the songs are long play, so I may also get their best hits. I was a fan starting in the '70's & had no idea there was such positive hidden meaning in so many of their songs, which prompted me to get this.
